This beach is in the north, 4km outside of the city center and part of Falkensteiner hotel complex so you have to pay 10kn for entrance. It is a pebble beach with one sandy cove and a concrete plateau.
It's good for kids, as the bay is shallow with a sandy entrance. There are numerous activities for children such as slides, pools, as well as numerous sports and entertainment facilities like beach volleyball, aquapark, windsurfing, jet-skiing, paddle boat riding, riding a tube, or a banana, parasailing, scuba diving, and many other activities.
On Borik beach you can find all the basic facilities like showers, changing cabins and bars where you can buy food and drinks. Famous Beach Bar & Grill is next to the sandy cove and offers pizzas, burgers, tortillas, salads, and starters.
On the other side of the beach, there is cafe Maestral with a really nice view of the sea and nearby islands. Cafe Maestral besides drinks also offers ice cream, pancakes, and fast food.
This beach is the biggest beach in Zadar and is popular among tourists and locals too. That's because there is enough shade from the pine trees to accommodate many swimmers.
You can get to Borik beach by public transportation. Local buses drive directly to the entrance of the beach. Just take bus number 5A to Puntamika (Borik) and jump out at the last station Borik (Hotels).
